ASHLAND, Ky. -- George Washington tailback Draven Riffe may have gotten his own seat on the long bus ride back from Ashland on Friday night.

Riffe was probably accompanied by a few ice packs as well.

One week after rushing for 256 yards on 25 attempts and three touchdowns in a season-opening victory against South Charleston, Riffe was once again the workhorse for the Patriots.

Riffe carried the ball an astounding 39 times for 239 yards and four more touchdowns as GW came back to West Virginia with a 35-14 victory over Paul Blazer at Putnam Stadium.

"He would deserve it," GW coach Steve Edwards Jr. said. "Draven has been awesome. He's super. And our line has been super. Good gravy, those guys are blocking and really moving people."

Edwards was happy to leave Kentucky and come back home with another victory.

"Overall, they handled the trip well," Edwards said. "Our guys answered the call, and if we continue to do that, we can be successful. I'm really pleased for the kids and proud of them. Our guys are playing really hard and good."

Despite all of his carries, Riffe didn't seem to be feeling the effects too much.

"I feel pretty good," Riffe said. "Actually I feel a little better tonight that I did the SC game, to be honest. Our game plan is whatever works. The entire offensive line and fullbacks Zach Malone and Mason Blake made some really good holes for me."
